Ce film est certainement l'un des plus fidèles par rapport à l'histoire du RMS TITANIC. Il s'agit de la mise en film d'un livre d'enquête réalisé par Walter Lord.
Tout ce qui est arrivé pendant cette nuit tragique de 1912 est minutieusement décrit..
On y voit ce qui s'est passé à bord du cargo CALIFORNIAN qui était à un peu plus de 10 miles du paquebot TITANIC qui coulait.
On voit aussi l'un des boulangers qui s'est saoulé devant l'imminence du naufrage, qui a coulé avec le paquebot tout à l'arrière et qui a finalement été recueilli par un canot de sauvetage...
Vraiment un film très intense qui a connu un très grand succès lorsqu'il est sorti en 1958...
L'iceberg supposé être celui que le Titanic a heurté.

We see there what passed aboard the cargo boat CALIFORNIAN which was a little more than 10 miles of the liner TITANIC which sank[f=white].
We also see one of the bakers who got drunk in front of the imminence of the wreck, who sank with the liner quite in the back and who was finally saved by a lifeboat...
Really a very intense movie which knew a very big success when it went out in 1958...
