Au mois de janvier 1962 les quais du port du Havre s'animent...
As the passenger ship cannot contain that approximately 2.000 passengers, and as the demand is very strong the French Line decided to propose two inaugural journeys for the passenger ship s/s France: there will be a Maiden cruise and an Inaugural crossing.
The maiden cruise leaves Le Havre for Southampton and reaches the archipelago of Canary It will be from 19 till 28 January 1962: destination Santa Cruz of Ténériffe where she will make stopover on January 22nd. She return in Le Havre on January 28th after a brief stopover to Southampton where it will stay on natural harbour of the Isle of Wight because of the bad weather.
The inaugural Crossing will make calls at Southampton and New York. where s/s FRANCE will arrive on february 8th.
